It was great to see Deputy Premier Christine Elliott at Margaret Bahen Hospice in York Region. As Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, Ms. Elliott understands that there are solutions to our challenges in health care and we were excited to share why Hospice is one of the best ones. Margaret Bahen Hospice opened its doors November 1, 2017 and is expected to care for more than 250 residents and their families annually. This 10-bed residential Hospice provides compassionate end-of-life care in a homelike environment where the focus is on living each and every moment to its fullest.
A partnership with Doane House Hospice earlier this year helps to support those in our community with a life limiting illness starting at the beginning of their diagnosis right through until their final days when Margaret Bahen Hospice for York Region is an option.
