The health, safety and well-being of our residents, visitors, volunteers and staff are of the utmost importance to us. We are closely monitoring the the development of COVID-19 pandemic.
Margaret Bahen Hospice will remain open with additional precautionary measures, in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we have implemented changes to our procedures for visitors to the residential facility and request that you only visit if essential. Do not visit if you are ill with cough or fever or have traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days.
All Doane House Hospice Community Programs are on hold until further notice i.e. bereavement visits, groups, home visiting volunteers etc. While these programs are temporarily on hold, we are still providing wellness checks to all our Clients in the community to ensure appropriate supports are in place. Please contact your our office if you have any questions or require any additional supports.
HOW DO I PROTECT MYSELF AND OTHERS?
Continue to the practice the following precautionary measures to reduce the transmission of COVID-19;
- wash your hands for at least 30 seconds with soap and water
- cough and sneeze into your elbow
- stay home if ill,
- follow travel advisories and stay informed – we have developed a COVID-19 Resource Page to keep you up to date
